Disabled Guests

We have some fantastic opportunites for those guests with physical disabilities. We have a custom made sledge to cater for the demanding terrain to ensure your comfort and to easily allow you to drive your own team of Husky's. We have full disabled facilities in the lodge house with appropriate facilities to cater for those in a wheelchair. Short trips

We offer a number of day trips from 3 hour to full day. Please contact us and we will be delighted to tell you about the trips available along with prices. info@arctichuskyadventures.com

Longer trips - 7 day trip

Number of guests - 1 person unaccompanied or 1 person with a helper

Availability - Throughout March 2012

Price - 27000 SEK per person (plus flights).

Should you prefer to bring a helper with you then they would pay a reduced rate of 9000 SEK (plus flights).

All day trips are around the area of Jokkmokk. Day trips involve being out from around 10.00am-3.00pm stopping for a cooked lunch by a fire. We usually travel around 20-30km per day. Evenings will involve taking a sauna, relaxing and dining with a local menu alongside your guides. If you would like a day off or to finish earlier then we can visit local Sami museums, or take a day trip to the Ice Hotel in Kiruna.

Day 1:

Arrival day. You will be met at Luleå Airport and transferred by car to your accommodation just outside Jokkmokk. We introduce you to the dogs, then we have dinner and discuss our coming adventure, you can also have a sauna.

Day 2:

We commence our first full day with some dog sledding instruction and training. We then start our trip out in the forest and stop for lunch over the open fire. Return to base camp with dinner and sauna at your accommodation.

Day 3-6

We start our trips each day around 10.00am planning a route the evening before to go out in the forest or small mountain area’s (each day is different route) and we always stop for a cooked lunch over the open fire. Each evening we return to base camp and dinner is then served and you may take time to take a sauna and shower at your accommodation.

Day 7

Prepare for your trip back home. You will be driven back to the airport by your guide.

The 7 day trip includes all food, suitable winter clothing, accommodation, standard insurance, all husky sledging trips, airport transfers. The price excludes flights.
