We are based in the north of Sweden in the County or Jokkmokk and the Province of Lapland. The area of Norrbotten consumes almost 1/4 of Sweden (38 thousand square miles) yet is only occupied by around 250 thousand people. A large part of the Lapland area has been the habitat of Reindeer herding Sami people for thousands of years and has for that reason been protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
